Renew your diversity certification to maintain access to DTUI.com/DELA resources, demonstrate your commitment to the inclusion profession, and keep the credibility of your hard-earned credentials. Report your continuing education credits and submit your renewal below.
Certification renewal requires reporting continuous education credits each year to maintain your DTUI.com/DELA certified diversity professional credentials. Maintaining certification is an ongoing process — continuing education keeps pace with changes in an ever-changing field and hones professional skills.
1
If you use the credentials for any professional purpose and someone contacts us to support that documentation, we are required to inform them that you no longer have those credentials.
2
You can no longer ethically put the credentials at the end of your name and title.
3
Your competitiveness in securing new opportunities, promotions, etc. may be limited.
4
You no longer have the privileged access to DTUI.com/DELA resources.
5
If you allow your credentials to expire more than 24 months, you may have to retake the CDP seminar or complete a comparable educational project for reinstatement — which takes time and money.
The Benefits of Certification Renewal
You keep a continuous, cumulative record of the annual accomplishments needed to receive your CRU credits. It qualifies you for inclusion in the annual awards for CDP/DELA graduates, and you continue to belong to an exclusive club of professionals dedicated to lifelong cultural and leadership competence development. The Human Resource Certification Institute (HRCI) recognizes DTUI.com for human resource management continuous education.

When & How Do I Renew?
All graduates are expected to renew every two (2) years and provide evidence of no less than 18 CRUs (nine units per year). The deadline is every two years on June 15. The best way to find your due date is to check the letter or certificate you received upon graduation — it has the date on it.
How Do I Pay the Renewal Fee?
The renewal fee is $199.95 annually. Holding more than one DELA certification is a $299.95 flat fee, and CDE credential holders pay $399.95 per year for the combined CDP, CDT & CDE. You must pay by the deadline to avoid a $100 late fee.
How Do I Report My CRUs?
Credits for DTUI.com courses are recorded automatically upon completing a qualified DELA course — just inform the instructor you wish to receive CRU credits. Non-DELA events are submitted by members, so keep a record of dates, hours, the provider or organization, and proof of completion.
How Do I Calculate CRUs?
Continuing education hours are calculated by the length of the event — each hour of direct education counts as one unit. CDP recipients report 9 CRUs per one-year reporting period for each certification; all others report 6 CRUs every year.
